Bay County Medical Care Facility Restorative Nursing

Our residents benefit from our innovative Restorative Nursing Services. Here, we focus on helping residents maintain the independence they gained through our Rehabilitation Services. Our Restorative Nursing Assistants are trained to help residents achieve their optimal physical, mental, and social abilities.

Bay County Medical Care Facility provides Restorative Nursing to all residents. The Restorative Nursing team works in two shifts each day. An RN supervises the team, which includes 3 LPNs and 12 Restorative Nursing Assistants. Every member of the team receives specialized training in restorative care.

Restorative Services focus on:

  • Range of motion
  • Walking
  • Standing and sitting
  • Weight bearing
  • Stamina
  • Muscle strengthening
  • Activities of Daily Living (ADL) training
